Nomo Privacy Policy

How the Nomo app handles information while providing its digital wellbeing features.

Effective date: 20 August 2026

Overview

Nomo is an iOS digital wellbeing app. This policy explains information handled by the Nomo app and the services it uses. Nomo does not provide user accounts or operate a Nomo cloud backend in the current MVP.

Screen Time and Family Controls

Nomo uses Apple’s Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks to let you select distracting apps or categories and apply protection. Apple provides privacy-preserving, opaque selection tokens. Those tokens remain within Nomo’s native Screen Time architecture; Nomo does not decode them into a catalogue of installed apps or inspect the private contents of protected apps.

Device Activity reporting

Nomo uses Apple’s DeviceActivityReport architecture to show protected-app usage where Apple makes it available. Sensitive report data is processed and rendered inside Apple’s report-extension privacy boundary. Nomo does not export raw Device Activity reports to React Native, upload them to Nomo servers, or write report aggregates into shared storage.

Local app data

Nomo stores the minimum local state needed for the app to work, including onboarding completion, your intention and protection preferences, protection mode and state, native protected-selection state, intentional-pause event records, and temporary-allowance lifecycle metadata. This data supports protection, local progress, and recovery of the app’s state on your device.

Subscriptions

Apple processes App Store payments. Nomo uses RevenueCat to help determine whether the Nomo Pro subscription entitlement is active and to support purchase restoration. RevenueCat may process purchase and subscription information needed to provide that service. RevenueCat is not Apple’s payment processor.

How information is used

Nomo uses the information described above to provide protection functionality, remember local preferences and state, provide local progress features, verify subscription entitlement, and troubleshoot or support the service.

Third parties

Nomo relies on Apple for iOS, Screen Time, Family Controls, Device Activity, and App Store payment processing, and on RevenueCat for subscription-entitlement services. Nomo does not include an analytics SDK, advertising SDK, tracking pixels, or behavioural marketing tools in the current MVP.

Retention and deletion

Nomo’s app data is stored locally on your device for as long as it is needed for the app to operate. Removing the app generally removes Nomo data stored locally by the app. Removing Nomo does not delete App Store purchase history, Apple records, or RevenueCat records, which are governed by those services.

Your questions and requests

Children

Nomo is not designed as a service directed to children. If you believe a child has provided information to Nomo in a way that concerns you, please contact us at the address above.

Changes to this policy

Nomo may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
